Megyn Kelly Gets Career-Ending News – Drawing Lowest Audience for NBC in a Decade [Details]

Megyn Kelly was not wise to leave Fox News for NBC. Sure, the money was otherworldly but her audience was never going to follow her to the liberal network. She has no audience, that’s the problem. Now, Kelly is drawing the lowest ratings for the Today franchise in over a decade.

From America News Hub:

The problem with Megyn Kelly heading to NBC is that she has no audience whatsoever.

Republicans aren’t her biggest fans considering her back and forth with then-candidate Donald Trump stemming from the first GOP debate in 2015.

Likewise, the left isn’t fond of Kelly because she was a former Fox News anchor.

From BizJournals:

Megyn Kelly is attracting the lowest audience for the “Today” franchise in more than a decade.

Kelly, who debuted her morning show in September in the third hour of the “Today” franchise, averaged 2.29 million viewers in the November sweeps period, The Wrap reports. That’s the lowest for any hour in the franchise since 2000.

When it comes to the 25-54 age demographic coveted by advertisers, Kelly is doing even worse, The Wrap reports. In November, her show averaged 699,000 daily viewers in that age group. Among 18-49 year-olds, her show averages 548,000 viewers. Both numbers are lower than last year.

More from The Wrap:

The show has been regularly mocked since its launch in September for silly segments, or missteps from Kelly, who — for example — opened an interview with Jane Fonda in September with a question about her plastic surgery.

“We really want to talk about that right now?” snapped Fonda in an on-air rebuke.

Representatives for Megyn Kelly declined to comment on this story. But here’s where we obligatorily point out that the host’s soft November has performed better than her lowly October, which was up from a lackluster late-September start.

So, there’s that.

Had Kelly played nice with Trump she’d have one of the top rated programs on TV. Instead, she went the opposite route.

Kelly and candidate Donald Trump sparred at the first GOP presidential debate back in 2015. Since then, it has been all down hill for her.

Career-ending news for Kelly? Well, it’s not looking good – that’s for sure!
