One would think a person who works for an anti-gun Democrat mayor would also be anti-gun.
A staffer for NYC Mayor Bill de Blasio was recently busted on a gun charge.
From NBC New York:
A high-level deputy director in Mayor de Blasio’s Office of Criminal Justice was arrested on gun charges this weekend, police say.
Reagan Stevens, the deputy director of Youth and Strategic Initiatives, was charged along with two men after officers found the trio in a vehicle with a loaded handgun late Saturday night, according to police.
Officers were responding to ShotSpotter, the NYPD’s bullet-detection system, near the corner of 177th Street and 106th Avenue in Jamaica when police say they found the “suspicious” vehicle double-parked nearby.
More from New York Post:
Stevens, who lives in Brooklyn’s Bay Ridge, manages youth and strategic initiatives, and her main job is implementing a 2017 state law that will raise the age at which kids can be prosecuted as adults for non-violent crimes from 16 to 18.
Stevens, who previously worked for the Brooklyn District Attorney’s Office and makes more than $90,000 a year, was immediately suspended without pay, said Office of Criminal Justice spokesman Patrick Gallahue.
“We take these allegations very seriously,” he added.
Forty-two-year-old Stevens was in the back seat of the car when officers approached. They also arrested 25-year-old Caesar Forbes, who was driving the car, and 24-year-old Montel Hughes, who was a second passenger in the vehicle.
Dems can’t spell it.
