Minnesota Congressman Keith Ellison serves as the Democrat National Committee’s deputy chair.
In a recent tweet, Ellison thought it would be a good idea to basically endorse far-left domestic terror group Antifa.
Democrat Keith Ellison is a Muslim who often accuses President Trump of racism and Islamophobia. You’d think he’d want to steer clear of throwing his support behind a terrorist organization because he’s a US Rep. and maybe that he wouldn’t want to look like a giant hypocrite. You’d be mistaken. He’s a liberal and bullshit and hypocrisy are what drives him and everyone like him. In an effort to oppose Trump at all cost, Ellison is giving his full endorsement to the leftist terrorist organization Antifa.
Here’s a fun tweet from the Resistance:
— Rep. Keith Ellison (@keithellison) January 3, 2018
As you can see in the picture, Ellison is holding a copy of Antifa – The Anti-Fascist Handbook. The democrat believes this will strike fear in the heart of Donald Trump. Like everything else, he’s wrong. The only thing his endorsement of Antifa will do is make him look like a leftist lunatic. Maybe that’s what he was going for, I don’t know.
Fox News has more:
Since Trump’s election as president, Antifa activists have initiated violent clashes on college campuses and at other gatherings. The group has been accused of using coordinated violence against people they deem to espouse far-right ideology.
Ellison’s post drew a negative response from conservatives on Twitter. Jordan Schachtel of Conservative Review noted, “The FBI and DHS consider Antifa a domestic terrorist organization … Does the @DNC now support terrorist groups? Every Democrat in Congress should have to answer for this ON the record.”
More on the terror group, via Politico:
Federal authorities have been warning state and local officials since early 2016 that leftist extremists known as “antifa” had become increasingly confrontational and dangerous, so much so that the Department of Homeland Security formally classified their activities as “domestic terrorist violence,” according to interviews and confidential law enforcement documents obtained by POLITICO.
Since well before the Aug. 12 rally in Charlottesville, Virginia, turned deadly, DHS has been issuing warnings about the growing likelihood of lethal violence between the left-wing anarchists and right-wing white supremacist and nationalist groups.
Previously unreported documents disclose that by April 2016, authorities believed that “anarchist extremists” were the primary instigators of violence at public rallies against a range of targets. They were blamed by authorities for attacks on the police, government and political institutions, along with symbols of “the capitalist system,” racism, social injustice and fascism, according to a confidential 2016 joint intelligence assessment by DHS and the FBI.
After President Donald Trump’s election in November, the antifa activists locked onto another target — his supporters, especially those from white supremacist and nationalist groups suddenly turning out in droves to hail his victory, support crackdowns on immigrants and Muslims and to protest efforts to remove symbols of the Confederacy.
Feel good about yourself, Keith?
