Some people believe America is stronger when we’re united. Others are Hillary Clinton-voting liberals. MSNBC guest Jamira Burley went on live TV recently and said ‘white men pose the biggest threat to Americans every single day.’
From Daily Caller:
She continued, “And so I think this is nothing new, what is interesting though is that white men continue to be the–pose the biggest threat to Americans every single day. It’s been documented and verified that they are more likely to burn down churches, more likely to commit mass murders and mass shootings and so Jeff Sessions’ reality and his assessment on these people is both lacking in facts and both reality.”
More on Burley, from Forbes:
The first of 16 siblings to graduate from high school and college, 26-year-old Jamira Burley’s youth was filled with violence and surrounded by drugs. “My earliest childhood memory is being in a courtroom when I was five years old, watching my two eldest brothers who were on trial for murder,” says Jamira. “By the time I was 15 years old, I had seen all 10 of my older brothers be incarcerated, as well as both of my parents who were repeat offenders.”
But Jamira escaped. In 2005, after the murder of her 20-year-old brother, which was also the same year her father was convicted of a different murder, Jamira made a decision that her life would take a much different path. She chose, however, not only to save her herself from crime and poverty, but also to make saving others her calling.
While still at Overbrook High School in West Philadelphia, Jamira founded an anti-violence program called Panther Peace Corps that trained high school students to work with classmates to prevent violence. She received support and inspiration from her high school principal Ethelyn Payne Young: “Miss Young made me realize that it didn’t matter that I was 15 years old – that I could actually do something about the issues that were impacting people in my community, and she helped give me those tools.” The Panther program reduced violence by 30% in Jamira’s high school. It also attracted the attention of political leaders. Pennsylvania Governor Ed Rendell gave Jamira a $50,000 grant to implement that same program at ten of the most dangerous high schools in Philadelphia.
Not ISIS. Not radical liberalism. Not Democrat policies as a whole. But ‘white men?’
