Before Jeff Sessions was confirmed as attorney general, Obama holdover Sally Yates served in an acting role. Not long into his presidency, Donald Trump fired Ms. Yates for refusing to enforce his agenda. Now, Yates attacks 45 in a tweet as ‘shamelessly unpatriotic.’
From Daily Caller:
Sally Yates, the Obama Department of Justice appointee who served as acting attorney general in the earliest days of the Trump administration, called the president “shamelessly unpatriotic,” after he told reporters Saturday that he believes Russian President Vladimir Putin denials respecting Russia’s interference in the 2016 presidential election.
The president’s own appointees in the intelligence community, including CIA Director Mike Pompeo and Director of National Intelligence Dan Coats, have endorsed reports concluding the Russians actively interfered with the political process throughout 2016.
Now a lecturer at Georgetown University Law Center, Yates said in a Saturday tweet that Trump’s statements about Putin are “disturbing and shamelessly unpatriotic.”
POTUS embraces Putin yet again telling world he believes former KGB agent’s denial of attack on our election over our own Intel public servants, calling them “political hacks.” Disturbing and shamelessly unpatriotic, on Veterans Day no less.

Yates tweeted this in response to Trump stating he believes Putin when the Russian president claims he did not meddle in the 2016 presidential election.
“He said he didn’t meddle, he said he didn’t meddle. I asked him again. You can only ask so many times. Every time he sees me he says, ‘I didn’t do that,’ and I really believe that when he tells me that, he means it,” he continued. “I can’t stand there and argue with him, I would rather have him get out of Syria, I would rather get to work with him on the Ukraine,” said Trump today after the two leaders discussed the issue during a recent economic summit in Vietnam.
Trump is ‘unpatriotic,’ huh? Well, that’s a new one.
