Donald Trump is president today because of how terrible Barack Obama was to the Democrat Party. No question about it. Senate Dems don’t seem to get that. Now, they have released a statement saying 45 is helping to stage radical Islamic attacks on the United States.
From America News Hub:
President Donald Trump has ISIS on the run.
Barack Obama could not say the same during his eight years in office as divider-in-chief.
After all, it was 44 who referred to ISIS as the “JV team” and even downplayed the stregth of al-Qaeda prior to the 2012 election.
During an event at the Foundation for the Defense of Democracies, Rukmini Callimachi said a huge trove of documents were found at an ‘isolated’ Osama bin Laden’s base after his death and he lost control of his group.
Continued, via Weekly Standard:
“The head of the organization has been killed, and now—these are literally quotes that I would get: the organization has been ‘decimated,’ the organization is in ‘disarray,’ the organization is ‘on the run,’” [Callimachi] continued. “At the same time that we were preparing to pull out troops from Iraq and Afghanistan, I think that it was important to portray this as a problem that no longer existed.”
Newsweek has the scoop on the Senate Dems:
As part of their latest attempt to block President Donald Trump’s travel ban, Senate Democrats say the order preventing refugees from Muslim-majority countries is being used by ISIS to recruit lone-wolf terrorists.
Eight Democratic senators on Friday introduced the No Ban on Refugees Act, which would prohibit the U.S. government from barring refugees from coming into the U.S. based on their country of origin.
“Trump’s refugee ban puts American lives at risk and it plays right into the hands of our enemies,” the bill’s lead sponsor, Senator Chris Murphy of Connecticut, said in a statement. “There’s no real danger to America from refugees who’ve gone through our vetting system and entered our country. The danger is that we help ISIS recruit lone-wolf terrorists here at home by making clear that they have no place in our society.”
Trump has used terrorist incidents across the world—most recently the attack in New York City on October 31—to justify his ban, which critics deem anti-immigrant and discriminatory.
Stupid is as stupid does.
