McCain Begs for 3 Million Twitter Followers, Then America Shuts Him Up Hard

Arizona’s John McCain, arguably the most anti-Trump Republican senator in Congress, recently begged for three million followers on Twitter. He was only 74 away from his goal. Then, he got some very bad news.

From Gizmodo:

Around noon on Monday, McCain tweeted a call to action requesting help from his audience. “We’re only 74 Twitter followers away from 3M – spread the word & help us reach this big milestone,” he tweeted. Doing the math, that means he was sitting pretty with 2,999,926 followers at the time. At the moment, he has 2,993,757 followers and the number is rapidly declining as people see an opportunity to tell McCain what they think of him.

More from Mashable:

Only 45 percent of McCain’s followers are believed to be authentic anyways. Compare that to Trump, who commands a notorious bot army. 52 percent of Trump’s followers are believed to be real, giving him the advantage.

Humans and bots have united under a common agenda — “Ner ner ner ner ner ner.”

McCain needs to be focused on what matters, not Twitter followers.

People are tired of seeing their elected representatives doing dumb things.

If McCain were up for re-election in 2018, he wouldn’t stand a chance!
