The life of a lawyer consists of numerous tasks, but their day can look rather different based on the field of law that they chose to focus on more than anything else in the world. There is a pretty good chance that IP lawyers have daily routines that involve a wide range of things that don’t take them to court for arbitration, and instead their main goal would be to talk with clients and help them get a handle on their current IP portfolio as well as give them ways to expand this portfolio as best they can without putting too much of a strain on their current financial potential.
One thing that is important for trademark lawyers to start their day with is to go through their schedule and see what meetings have been set in the morning and afternoon hours. This is because of the fact that the earlier hours of the day are the best times to get meetings out of the way, since the truth of the situation is that you would be fresher during those hours instead of being really tired after spending hours doing things that could have been done at a later stage.
The fact of the matter is that keeping tabs on updates to regulations surrounding IP and other laws that might impact their clients is also an important part of the daily agenda for IP lawyers. They usually need to start working as early as eight or even seven in the morning, and it is rather unlikely that they would get the chance to go home before twelve to fourteen hours have passed all in all.
