What Sand to Use After Pressure Washing

A lot of the sidewalks that we use in our pedestrian lives are comprise of individual concrete or cement blocks, and that has a lot to do with how affordable they tend to be when produced en masse. That said, one thing about these blocks that you might not be aware of as of yet is that they have some sand in between them. This is because of the fact that this sand helps them to stick together, and that can make pressure washing a rather tricky thing to do since you might blast some of this sand away.

There is a pretty good chance that these blocks would start falling apart if you don’t implement a process known as re-sanding. Even the best pressure washing service provider out there wouldn’t be able to truly avoid blowing the sand right out from between the blocks, so you would do well to keep this in mind. You should use the right sand after pressure washing as well, since the truth of the situation is that some sand types are a bit too loose to be used for this purpose.

Any kind of sand that has been dried up in a kiln can be used to reseal cement blocks on a footpath, so the fact of the matter is that it’s not the type of sand that should be factored in but rather what you do to it. Kiln drying is a great way to make sand suitable for re-sanding endeavors, so you should get any kind of sand that is available and then go to your nearest kiln to give it a good drying that will completely transform it.
